Can you put your system specs in your profile? Then we can get a handle on whether hardware is playing a role.

I have the same issues - can run Vegas Pro 11 until I try to apply FX to any clip.
System is a new build - used driver update software to make sure drivers are all up to date. Installed 595 - same result. I have an open ticket with Sony - we'll see what they come up with.

This sounds like what happens to me on my home machine, which is an i5-2500 with 8GB of RAM and is just using Intel integrated graphics. I suppose it could be an intel driver issue...

I should probably do a fresh OS install tomorrow and only install the current 64-bit version of Vegas.

No problem with this on my work machine which is a core2duo 8400 with 6GB installed and using a simple Radeon HD 2400 XT card.

Edit: I forgot to say that this only happens with OFX effects, and that with VP11 installed the OFX FX in VP10 also crash. Remove 'em both and just install VP10 and it's crashing goes away.

I don't think it's an Intel driver issue. I have a AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0GHz (Quad Core) with the latest drivers and I'm having the same type of crashes using the OFX plugins.

Yah, I don't really think it's a driver issue but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. I bring it up more because people might think it's a driver issue for their discrete cards. I doubt that too.
