When I insert a solid colour to the timeline from the media generators tab, the video preview stops updating. It'll only update to the current frame if I redo an action or delete a video track. The video preview will play like normal again as soon as I remove the solid colour from the timeline. I wanted to see if anyone might have a solution to this before I try reinstalling the program.
