Pro 17 capture frame rates

Using Vegas Pro 17. I have a Canopus 300 external device via firewire on W10.

I noticed I can change the frame rate on video capture but it always captures at 29.97 - I've been trying to capture my SD video at 59.94 to get rid of the interlace artifacts. I've done this with OBS but was trying to see if I could stay self-contained in Vegas.

Am I wasting my time and just capture in OBS and be done with it?
