Pro 9 interaction with streaming hard drive

It seems the Pro 9 when it plays back 1920x1080 5D2 MOV footage all of sudden speeds up and picks up data from the hard drive very efficiently, only seonds later it chokes itself and slows down.

I have a feeling that in regards to *how* it streams from the hard drive things aren't right. That's maybe why I lose sync, it speed s up and slows down and fram rate can vary much more dramatically than in Pro 8.

Kinda notice that myself.
Good thing is you can easily turn off the automatic previewing
if you so desire at any interval.

Turning on automatic preciew doesn't solve this problem Steve. How do you mean...?
