PRO Res loading problem

I've received a new batch of Pro Res HD files that have won't load in Vegas Pro 13. Quicktime Player opens it. After Effects opens it but Vegas won't.

Vegas Pro handles the Pro Res 422 files fine but these files are Pro Res 4444 (according to QP Movie inspector). If I try to load the files Vegas only sees the audio portion of the file. Interestingly enough there was one Pro Res 4444 file supplied to me that did load in Vegas Pro and it was a video only file.

Is there a process/link to report bugs/problems to Magix software developers? Any ideas on how to get Vegas to load those Audio and Video Pro Res 4444 files aside from rendering them out of After Effects to a new file?

I have numerous Prores 4444 files (in MOV) that contain an alpha channel and none of them load into Vegas 13. None have audio. It is just a format Vegas does not support right now.

I do not have any 4444 files without alpha to test.

Hitfilm loads those 4444 files with alpha just fine. Quicktime player plays them.

As for reporting issues, we really need to wait until the transition from SCS to MAGIX is fully implemented. You don't just snap your fingers and these things happen quickly and/or without hiccups.

I certainly don't expect things to happen at a finger snap but I do hope that Magix will actively develop the software. If there is anything I can do to help (like reporting issues such as this one) I am happy to do it.

MAGIX support for the products formerly owned by Sony is now here: https://support2.magix.com/customer/en/request

Native ProRes support is said to be one of the new features of the forthcoming VP14 which is rumored to release next week, and you should get an upgrade path from VP13 which I would budget $100-150 for (that's a guess based on previous upgrade offers). I think there's a strong chance it will support ProRes 4444.
