Pro Type titler

Right now I'm happy with Vegas 7. I bought 8, but if I use it at all, it will probably be for the Pro Titler.

Can a title made in Vegas 8 with the Pro Titler be brought into a project in Vegas 7?

Also, in my version of Vega 8 the screen layout is the reverse of Vegas 7 and earlier versions, with the time line on the bottom, and I don't like it. Can the time line be put on top like in previous incarnations of Vegas, and if not, what the flip were the people in Madison thinking when they turned my world upside down?

I don't know the answer to your first question, but my guess is no, since I am sure you have tried it and you couldn't find a way to do it.

The second question's answer is Preferences/Display/ check box: Display timeline at bottom of main window.

The timeline can be either place ... go to the preferences and select the display tab, you see a place with a check mark for the T/L top or bottom.
The title as a piece of genereated media can not be made w pro t and then opened in V7 just as no .veg files are backward compatible.
but if you export it as a movie you could use it in V7. Just remember if you want trans(alpha) youll need to export in a format that contians that ie. .mov or uncomporessesd .avi

Thanks much.

Problem one is solved and the proposed solution to problem two will be taken for a test drive as soon as I learn how to make a title in Pro Titler.

Thank you both, once again and continue to enjoy what's left of the season.
