Pro type titler question

I'm trying to add a gradient fill to some text which is using one of the 'collection' animations. When I select the text box, then choose the 'gradient fill' box, I get the fill all over the background rather than the text. What am I doing wrong??

Try opening the Gradient collection and applying it from there. With the text selected, drag a gradient from the collection and drop it on the gradient fill option. Then turn the option on. The gradient should just fill the text.

Thanks JR - worked perfectly. The Pro Type Titler works in mysterious ways. :-)
