Pro Type Titler - W7 64bit Crashdown

Hello,
In my experience , the PTT has always been a bit twitchy on the 32 bit, but after upgrading to the 64 bit a year on from the c release, was hoping that all the little problems had been ironed out. No.
Same thing is happening, I am wanting to use the Fly in from the collections, so I drag it across. As soon as I try to edit the default text in the box, as soon as I press Delets, then the whole keyframe bit dissapears and the screen freezes.
This happens everytime, thus making any attempt to jazz up any text somewhat lacking,
I have a new machine running windows 7 64 bit , and am hoping its just a driver problem. I have the latest 64 bit Nvidea drivers installed on a 1 Gig GC, 6 Gig of Ram with a 3.4 i.5 processor.

Please , is there an issue with the Titler ?

Best,

Glenn

Which version of Vegas are you running? I did see some problems in changing the default text on the PTT presets like "fly in" in previous versions of Vegas but not in 9.0c.

When you say everything disappears when you press delete -- are you deleting the entire text box? After dragging the "fly in" preset down to the PTT timeline, left click inside the text box area (anywhere) this should reveal the "fly in" text box which will be blank (as that's how it starts). Now click the "I" icon (for edit text) in the toolbar above the text area that starts with the "+" icon. This will put the cursor inside the text box at the very end of the text ready to make changes to the text. BUT --DO NOT PRESS DELETE -- instead sweep the cursor left to select all the text, then type in the new text. This will replace the text without deleting the first letter. This is the key. DO NOT delete the first letter of the text if you wish to preserve all the keyframed elements.

I know. It's tricky. I don't use the presets much anymore. I basically used them to LEARN how to manipulate all the various properties to create effects. This takes work. PTT is a steep learning curve but very very powerful once you get it. And it DOES NOT work like the rest of Vegas.
