I intended to write, problem importing from DVD.

I am trying to load the .VOB and then output to a .wmv file for a Zune.

I am rendeing to 320x240 .wmv, but the Zune software still re-encodes the file. What is the optimum settings for the Zune to minimize re-encode and the associated processing time?

I don't have a Zune, so i can't help you much. I'll just relate my experience with the Archos. It plays any .wmv file i download off the 'net quite well. It won't even touch .wmv files rendered in Vegas; won't even show them in the list of videos. I had to switch to DivX instead. As a benefit i get noticeably better quality in just about the same file size. Maybe you could give that a try.

I also would recommend NOT using the Zune software if at all possible. Can you connect the Zune as an external hard drive? If so, just drag & drop the videos through explorer. I would say that i didn't even install the Archos software, but that's slightly misleading. Archos doesn't even supply PC software with their players because it's completely unnecessary.
