I've a problem after burning a DVD. On the computer, it's ok: I can navigate the menu with the mouse. But when I play it on a standalone dvd player, the remote control doesn't work... I can't select the menus!!
Not to sound entirely too cryptic - but you don't give enough information to adequitely form a basis for troubleshooting.
But....here is a stab in the dark.
You say you can navigate on the PC with the mouse. But, in DVDA and most PC DVD Players, there is a simulated mouse (arrow keys and enter button). Try navigating with those and see if you have the same problems.
When you built the DVD, did you make it so when the menu items are highlighted they are underlined, text box color, yadda yadda yadda? That is to say there are some presets you can choose how the menu items are going to be highlighted. If you choose the one that just highlites the text...and...the text is white...and the highlight is white...well then - it will look like you cant choose a menu item - but it is just "white on white" and you can't see it that well.
Another thing to look at could be your remote control. Does it work on other DVDs? As in store bought pressed DVDs? If so....have you tried to burn more than one DVD with the same result?
How many menu items do you have to choose from? As a test - you could burn a quick DVD and only have one menu item (a play button to start a video). Then....you don't have to select it with the remote - you just have to push enter. If that works, then reburn the DVD and add anotehr menu item.
And so on and so forth.
Lastly - if all that fails, post what type of DVD player you have and what type of DVD burner you have. There may be an issue with compatibility.
