Problem Applying Audio FX... Help

Squisite wrote on 7/29/2003, 10:43 AM
I'm having an issue with audio effects. I right click on an audio event on my timeline and I select "Apply Non-Realtime Audio FX". I choose an effect like "Wavehammer", set the parameters, click "OK", and I get an error box that says, "An error occured during the current operation. The system is low on memory. You may be able to reduce memory usage by closing other applications." I get this when Vegas is the only program open, even after using the "End It All" program.

Any help you can give me is greatly appriciated,

Keith

Some things to try...

- In Vegas 4.0, Options/Preferences Video Tab, reduce "Dynamic RAM Preview max (MB).

- In Control Panel, System, Advanced Tab, Performance Settings, Advanced, Virtual Membory Change: Set the "Initial size" to match the "Recommended" size on an appropriate disk.

- Ctrl-Alt-Del, Task Manager, Processes Tab: Click on "Mem Usage" at the top of the list twice to sort the list in decending order of memory usage. Look at the first few entries. Is anything using an unexpected amount of memory?

Good Luck,

John.
