problem capturing audio

I'm having a problem capturing from my tv tuner card, it captures video but not audio. I went into the control panel into sound and speech properties and made sure everything was turned up and not muted or anything like that. I played with the options in Ulead Movie Factory but I can't get it to record audio. My audio out on my tv tuner is running into my audio in on my sound card, and it plays the audio fine, but refuses to capture it. I checked the little "capture audio" option, but it's not enough apparently. Can someone help me with this conundrum???

It might help us a bit if you tell us what tv tuner card & sound card you have, what software you're using for capturing, what OS you're running, etc.

I'll take a guess though that this is the typical problem of not having the right recording input selected in the sound card's mixer control panel. Double-click on the little speaker icon in the task tray, choose Options, Properties, Recording, OK. You'll see the inputs that can be used for recording (or in this case, capturing). Make sure that Line In is selected.
