Problem printing to Tape!

I have made this background video for my band that we are gonna play on a bigscreen on stage. We are amateurs and we have to fix everything outself so I have choosen to use the DV camera to playback the whoel thing on with the prerecorded sounds to an and all. The background movie will be about 30 minutes and of course it has to be free from flaws...

I have rendered the move from Vegas in PAL DV and when I use Vegas Print to Tape thingy it all seems to be fine but when I watched it the sound goes out and the picture freezes a second.. once every two minutes... it's really annoying and I seriously can't use it for the stage. So I wonder what's wrong... Is my computer the problem?

W2K pro with SP 3
1,4 AMD athlon
756 DDR RAM

I guess it must be that windows is doing other things that what I tell it to do (as usual) and I of course closed all the other application and only ran Vegas. I disabled the Preview in Vegas while printing to tape.. what else can I do to tweak Vegas to get all the power it needs to do this function without flaws?

are you using usb or firewire? Maybe your port is corrupted. Does it freeze when you are printing?(I mean, when you are printing to tape does it glitch then or only when you are watching the footage on your camera?) What kind of camera are you using and have you cleaned it lately? There are a number of possible problems, but in my case it was a corrupted firewire card. Who knows...

I use Firewire and have no problems at all capturing from my Panasonic NV-MX500. The camera is about 1 month old and not very used yet so I doubt it will neeed to be cleaned.

Since I have disabled the preview when I print to tape I guess I can't really see if it freezes but If I watch the LCD display on the cam when I print to tape there's NO glitch.. only when I playback it.

Can it be the mini dv tape maybe that is used to much?

I've had that playback glitch problem quite often. It does seem to occur more with older tapes. Also, make sure you're using the SP speed on the camera instead of LP. SP is more forgiving of tracking errors.
