Problem rendering to VCD Format

Hi there!

I capture in "DVD-Format" and render it to "VCD". Until now I used "Premiere" or "Tmpg" without any problems.

When I try to render with Vegas everything seems to be fine untill I reach 70% (3GB) of the DVD file then the "Preview" in Vegas turns black.

Maybe this is no problem I thougt, but after Vegas has finished the job I looked
at the VCD file and just like in the Vegas-Preview no picture after 70% but audio is OK.

Anybody got any idea what might cause this ?

If the preview is turning black but it finishes rendering, the render went "fine" but the source media was returning black frames, or was not being represented in your project.

When you step in the timeline in that section (past 70%), do you get black frames, or the expected result?

Could the video event have been trimmed back, so it stopped at 70%? Are there other events, generators, opacity envelopes, etc., that could be causing this?

Could any other program have messed with the source file during the render?
