Problem to open more instances of Vegas Pro 22

I can't open multiple instances of Vegas Pro 22 to work on multiple projects at the same time.

I always open multi instances of Vegas Pro at the same time
But now when open a second instace of Vegas, the project already open crash with this message.

I already search for a thread to fix this but I not found anyone with this same problem

Any help with this?

@editeiro What window layout do you use?
I found that when I left the preview window undocked, it also crashed when multiple instances were opened. When the default layout is restored, it no longer crashes.

If you have the same finding, I'd ask for official support to fix it 👏

@editeiro Hi, I have a custom layout but everything is docked, I've been trying this a few times but I opened 4 instances of VP 22 (248) without crashes .. A few hrs later after reading zzzzzz9125's comment I tried again but with undocked windows, again no crashing. Sorry this will be no help to you.

The fault module says it has something to do with AMD64.....

How about adding your computer specs to your Signature in your User Profile like myself and the other two posters above?

I have docked windows and was able to have open 3 VP22 B248.

@editeiro From the reports that you have shared, the issue is deriving from your AMD graphics card. There are no reason i know of where opening multiple instances of Vegas Pro causes such an issue.

Double check on the configurations / settings of your graphics card, probably if anything was changed etc. Then reboot your system.

Hi Guys, yeah it seems wich the problem is my AMD CPU, I update the drivers and the problem was not happening, but then it happened again.

I work on a Laptop
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics 3.20 GHz
GPU: Nvidia RTX3050 4GB
RAM: 16GB

But I did what the zzzzzz9125 suggested and worked.
It crash when I open a 2nd instance of Vegas with a instance with undocked panels already open.

I didn't solve the problem yet, but this tip are helping me to dodge the issue for now.

@editeiro I don't think it's limited to AMD CPUs only. Actually I'm using Intel i7-12700H for CPU and NVIDIA RTX 3050 Laptop for GPU, not AMD. AMD64 might refer to x86-64 used by Windows (yeah it was developed by AMD).

I think it's caused by the specific layout. I'll share my layout file. Any of you can download and try to apply this layout to see if it causes a crash.

Here is what I've found. Undocking a window, and then opening another instance of VP22, it seemed that the second VP opened ok, but then appeared no longer to respond. I opened a 3rd instance and also undocked a window (all 3 instances have undocked windows), and it looked like VP had stopped working. Using the Alt+Tab to go to the different windows seemed to activate them again. All the windows of Vegas with undocked windows is now working as they should.
