Problem using DVD's on home player

I just acquired Architect Studio 2.0 (Build 22) and started using it. My first project worked fine up to the end -- almost. I captured my video clips, edited them in Vegas, moved them over to Architect, added a menu and did a burn. My DVD worked fine on my computer's media viewer (and one other computer), but when I put it on my Pioneer DV-260 player, only the menu came up. Whether I clicked on Play or the scene selector, all I got was a black screen and a Stop message, followed by the Pioneer logo. Is this a formatting problem that I can fix, or is it just a problem with Pioneer? My burner is a Memorex internal E-IDE and the medium was a Fujifilm DVD-R. Other tech data available on request. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Start by upgrading to the latest version - while this doesn't sound familiar, if it was a bug in DVDA getting to a more recent version may resolve the issue.

Beyond that my guess would be that there's something about the DVD structure which is bothering your pionneer player. If that's the case, there's not going to be much you can do except try to use a different authoring program (such as DVD Lab or DVD Lab Pro).

You could try just doing a fairly simple DVD - make a single move project (no menu) and see if the player can handle that.

Oh, I guess you could also get a different player (try the new one out in the store first with your DVD).

I find the older players have problems playing the DVDs I have burned. Also, it's seems like the new lesser known names out there seem to play my DVDs easier than say a Toshiba or Sony player. I have a cheap Cyberhome player that will play pretty much anything I put into it.
