problem when capturing still from timeline.........

when i save a still image from the timeline its saving the image as 654 x 480 NOT 720 x 480. what am i doing wrong??

Nothing is wrong- Vegas is saving a pixel-aspect-ratio-corrected still, meaning a circle on the Vegas timeline will show up as a circle in Photoshop.

Search this forum for "pixel aspect ratio" if you want more details (or just trust us- it works correctly)

mmmm normally it captures at 720 x 480 this is what i load into REEL DVD as my still menu, it throws all the aspect out if i load the 654 in how can i get it to capture at 720 x 480 again?

You could temporarilly change your project's pixel aspect ratio to 1.000 in project properties.

You can also copy from the trimmer (while viewing in the preview window) - Trimmer capture does not perform a pixel-aspect-ratio correction.
