Problem with audio sync when rendering to MP4

Using Vegas Pro 8, when rendering to MP4, the audio is always a tad ahead of the video. This is a real problem because we want to publish our videos to an iTunes compatible format and the audio sync problem means this is delayed.

Our videos are 640x480x24 at 25fps progressive WMV 9. Audio 44,100 Hz 16 bit Stereo Windows Media Audio 9.1.

We are rendering to MainComcept AVC/AAC MP4 at 320x240 30fps variable bit rate best quality, audio at 44,100 Hz, 128,000 bps.

We have tried it with several of our videos when rendering both from the source video project and from the finished WMVs with the same results - the audio is a few frames ahead of the video - enough to make the lip sync very obvious.

Please help!
