problem with captured DV files

Hi,

I am having a problem with DV files. This is what happens:

- I captured clips and they are automatically imported in the media-pool. Usually I was able to drag and drop such files from the media pool window to the timeline. Now no more.

- I tried to clean the media pool, I readded them by means of the explorer window and then the 'drag and drop' worked.

Unfortunally,

-When I went to render the movie (from DV files to an .avi DV movie, no effects, no transitions) a further problem occured: instead of just copying the DV stream to the new file (as it should occur) the clip seem to be re-encoded!

If I create a new Vegas project and use the old DV files the problem is solved, but if I import new clips the problem occurs again!

Any help is appreciated
Thanks

Right Click on the actual files of the new captures, and check the details tab. Maybe something is not right (such as bitrate, codec etc)

all the properties of the newcaptured files seem right.
Furthermore if I shut down Vegas, I restart it, create a new project and import the newcaptures, then they work!
The problem seems to occur when using Vegas just after VideoCapture

The solution could be easy (shut down and create a new project!) but I would like to undestand what is happening...
