In the toolbar there is a LockEnvelopesToEvents button. If this is not selected, then your keyframes won't be deleted with the clip.

Reading between the lines....

If you are wanting to "delete" a clip and then replace it with another clip....using the same keys you have already set....go to the Media Pool, right-click on the clip you would like to delete....choose replace....and browse to the clip you would like to substitue in it's place. This will replace the clip in the media pool and on the timelime without effecting your previous keys.

If you are wanting to keep the keys for use in other projects, then just save the .veg file and treat it like a template with the above procedures.
