Hello--

I have a sony MicroMV IP7BT...and even though I love the camera, it has given me considerable headaches when it comes to video capture.

I have vegas 5.0, and am trying to capture video.

Whenever I try, it finds the device but then says "The device 'Microsoft AV/C Subunit Device' could not be opened. Please make sure that it is turned on and not being used by another application or user"

Now, the device is on...and I cannot see (or tell) that is is being used by another application.

It has all become very frustrating.

Note: when I plugged in the camera for the first time, windows found it and installed it properly.

Running:
Windows XP
1GB Dual Channel DDR Ram
2.88 Ghz Intel 4
Geforce 4ti 64 MB
Sony MicromV Camcorder IP7BT

PS: I have gotten the capture to work with ULEAD and MovieShaker (which is very outdated).
