Problem with MOV. files on rendering

I have an hour long film and as soon as the MOV. files are up the screen goes completely black? Can MOV. not be used or something? I thought since I was viewing it, it would be seen in the final version? Help???!?

For sure you should have QuickTime 6 installed, including the "authoring components." If you only have QuickTime 7 installed, it won't work. Because they stopped including the components that Vegas is looking for.
