Problem with MPEG 2 encoding in Vegas 4.0e

Since I updated to Vegas 4.0e, from 4.0d, I have been having issues with MPEG 2 output. The video will randomly speed up in spots in the final render, even though there are no velocity envelopes applied. I know this for a fact because the AVI output is absolutely fine. Has anyone else had this problem with e?

I thought that 4.0e only changed the Sonic Foundry logo to a Sony logo?

supposedly, but I have never had this happen before until I installed 4.0e, so I'm assuming that's what it is from.

The mpeg encoder did not change in 4.0e, hasn't changed since 4.0b (april).
