Ok,

since I'm both a sudent and an editor at the same time, I decided to make things easy and do my homework in Vegas rather than Word :)

I have a class on music in the movies and I have a 2 hour film to analyze. The first step is to do a cue sheet, each time there is some music I have to describe it and enter timecode.

So I ripped the DVD (I'm such a bad boy) and extracted the vob file, then converted to mpg2 and ac3, and ac3 to wav.

Now I enter marker for each cue using the edit list, brilliant, saves me a huge amount of time.

The problem is the mpg2 playback is not stable. Sometimes the audio will loose sync, I will have bursts of black frames or random frames. The playback is smooth though, 23.976fps.

any ideas ?
