Problem with Pan/Crop and Resizing an Image or Video

In one of my projects on Vegas Pro 22, I have been trying to resize a video clip - that is, to increase the size of the image in the video. I have always used pan/crop to do this, whether it is for a video or jpg. It's pretty basic. Just drag one of the handles to zoom in or out. In this case I want the image to stay at a particular zoom level - in other words, no animation or motion. It's not working. No matter what I do, including turning off the sync the cursor in pan/crop with the timeline cursor. If I drag the handles to the appropriate zoom level, pan/crop places a keyframe there and this results in motion, when I merely want the image to stay at the zoom level I set it for. If I ensure that the cursor is at the beginning of the clip, the zoom happens briefly and then reverts back to the original zoom level. What's going on here? Is there some change to pan/crop in the new version of Vegas that I am unaware of? How do I resize a video image (or still image for that matter) without creating motion (animation)?

If you don't want it to create a keyframe, make sure the cursor is ON the first keyframe.

If you need to be in the other location to see what is happening, after creating the keyframe, right-click the keyframe and choose 'Cut', then select and right-cick the first keyframe and choose 'Paste'.

It's all related to where the cursor is located on the pan/crop timeline.

If you make sure that Sync Cursor is not highlighted before you start, you should be fine. No keyframes added.

Solution for this issue was already given to @Arnold-Suntag in this thread https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/de/forum/pan-crop-unwanted-keyframe-how-to-avoid--89080/#ca930237

@Arnold-Suntag Please don't make multiple posts on the same problem.

Of course, he WAS also told in that other thread to make a new post about his issue...

You've tacked on to a 12-year-old discussion to ask a different question.

Better to start your own thread for your inquiry.

But it was the same issue as in that 12 year old thread and not a new issue as suggested.

@Arnold-Suntag

Since you created new keyframes by accident, it is now necessary for you to either remove those surplus keyframes, or start a fresh project, which may be more suitable for your level of experience.
