Are you trying to install Sony Preset Manager 2.0 rather than the original release? A link to download 2.0 is at the bottom of point 8 in https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-where-can-i-download-vegas-pro-and-other-vegas-software--104782/?page=1 in case you need it.

Version 2 installed okay today on my Windows 10 desktop and it also installed okay on my Windows 11 laptop but it first wanted to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable on the laptop, so it is suggested that you make sure that you've got that feature installed on your computer.
