Problem with sync and Ultimate S Quad Cam

I was trying to use Unltimate S's Quad Cam using 2 clips on different tracks. They have different time codes as one camera continuously ran for B footage and one was started later.

I applied the correct transitions for each cut in the track and selected Clip 1 and Clip 2 only and selected none for Camera 3 and 4.

When I applied Quad Cam, I noticeed that the audio wasn't in sync with the video. When I right clicked on each clip and selected resync (using slide method) the video synced up corretly.

I also tried to use sync points like requested, but wonder about something. Do I just select 2 points in my audio and Ultimate S looks for sync the same waveform in my audio or:
Am I supposed to place sync points for each audio clip using the same point in the audio for each. Example: Like the same starting point for a bang or a clap for each clip.

Thanks,
Michael

Are you using Ultimate S 2.1.1? There was an audio sync problem in the original version that was caused by changes that Sony made in the Script API and has been corrected in 2.1.1. Make sure you have the latest version of Ultimate S2.

The sync points are only useful if you ran your cameras continuously (which you did not) and are just a convenience. They do not look at the audio. You have to say which points in time sync up on each track and Ultimate S will align the events on that point. You can just as easily move the camera tracks by hand if you only have two tracks (in fact, its more work to use the sync points unless you have lots of tracks)

I have Ultimate S version 2 not 2.1.1 I believe. Where would I get the update? Is there an update feature in UltimateS?

No but that’s a good idea. ;-) You can always find the latest version on the VASST web site under Products > Software & Plugins > Ultimate S2. Or you can just click here. Then press the download button.

The trial is really the full version with a 15 day license. Once you purchase a full license, you can download the latest trial at any time and install it over what you have and it will upgrade you to the latest version and keep your full license status.
