Problem with text sync when rendering in Movie Studio 16.0 Platinum.

Hello!

I have today experienced a problem when I am rendering a video.

It is a lyric video that I have created so it is important that the text comes up accordingly to the person singing and not a few seconds before or after that line is sung.

When I make the video I put the text at the exact time where it needs to be, in the preview I did before rendring I was assured that everything was correct, I rendered and then watched the rendered version and its awful. The quality is good on the video, so is the audio, but the text that I have double checked several times is not in sync. It's like the text is going by really quick and the guy is still singing 1 line and the video is showing another line which then makes this a big problem for me.

I have always used this setting when rendering a video like this : '' Windows Media Video V11, 8Mbps HD 1080-30p Video''.

I have now also tried with this one : '' MainConcept MPEG-2, HDV 1080-60i '' but same problem there.

Keep in mind that the preview is very good, but the rendered version is the problem. Also this has never happened before.

PC Specs :

Windows computer with:
- Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit
- AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor
- 16313 MB RAM

Please help!

Very unusual and cannot think would could be causing it. But without more info it's impossible to determine the cause. If it's not happened before then something has changed on your pc or there's something unusual in your project. Upload your project "vf" file to a cloud service such as Google drive and provide the link so we can download it and look at it. Don't worry that we won't have the source material.

I think I did it right, let me know if something is wrong with the link. First time using Google Drive! https://drive.google.com/file/d/18JL9L-UbOt9KEFvBjW_aKw0u9c4EjINv/view?usp=sharing

The link's okay and I loaded it without problems into VMS16 Platinum.

The titles overlap the screen but that's because I don't have the font you used. Nothing apparently out of the ordinary but I wonder about your M4A audio file. I've no experience with M4A but as a first step in solving the problem I'd convert it to a wav file and use that instead to see if it makes any difference..

Glad that it worked!

Usually when I do these lyric videos, I don't use M4A files either. I usually use MP3 or also as you mentioned wav file. Why I converted this file into a M4A is because this song that I was supposed to edit got sent to me on the email. That file had no file name for some reason, the ending wasn't ( .mp3, .wav or anything like that ), it was just the name of the song. In properties it says like this : Type of file : File. I then decided to change the filetype myself by putting .mp3 in the end. VMS16 couldn't handle this new file that I've created, so I went to try and convert it, and thats why it is now a M4A audio file. This VMS16 could accept. So this could probably be the problem that is causing this issue for me.

But I also wonder why it works like perfect with everything in VMS16, but not after it is rendered. I will try what you said, to convert it to wav and see if that changes anything.

Thank you for assisting me so far! Much appreciated.

I would like to thank you for the help that you've provided. I did what you said, to try and convert it as a .wav file instead, and that solved the problem. Much appreciated! I wish you the best!
