Problem with titles and wide screen video

I’m having a problem with titles and wide screen video. The titles will not move ALL the way to the right or left. They can be moved all the way up or down – just not the far right or left. It’s not the “safe zone” setting (it doesn’t fix the problem even at 0%). When I try and move the titles to the far right or left, they disappear once a certain point is reached – even though there is video behind that point. It’s like the title box thinks this is a regular sized video screen and not a wide screen. I have my project properties set at “HD 720 30p.” I’ve tried a few other options and it doesn’t make a difference. Any suggestions?

I tried to reproduce your problem, but I can get my text to all areas of the screen.

I inserted the Default Text from Media Generators.

Under the Placement tab, I set the Safe Zone to (none).

I was then able to click on the text and drag it to the extreme L/R edge and beyond.

I posted an image at Photobucket:

Sorry I could be of more help.

Open up your text event. Does it indicate a frame size of 1280 x 720?

If your initial project size does not match your media settings, neither will your generated text media.

I'm probably saying the same thing as everyone else, but slightly different. I can reproduce the problem, so to fix it, go to your text event and open the Pan/Crop on it. Right click the text in there and select Match Output Aspect and it should work fine. Let us know. Cin

Your solution worked great! My text boxes were NOT set to wide screen dimensions and resetting them to match output worked GREAT. Thank you!!!
