As a new user of Movie Studio Platinum 13 (64b) I have 2 problems with output files from the encoder. The 1st problem I have described in another topic because there may be no relation at all.
I have made output files (between 40 s and 14 min) using the encoders of Sony AVC/MVC (AVCHD 1920x1080-50p, 26 Mbps but also at 10 Mbps) and Sony XAVC S HD 1080 Long-GOP 50p (55 Mbps). I have enabled and disabled GPU to try both, there is no difference. Various video FX from Sony and NewBlue are applied to the source material (1920x1080-50p MP4, 33 Mbps output from ProDAD Mercalli 3.0).
Playback of the 26 Mbps m2ts output of Sony AVC is OK on MPC as long as I do not jump in the timeline: then the audio stops and only returns when back at the start of the video. In VLC the playback starts but quickly freezes. The 10 Mbps file playback on MPC is OK but on VLC cumbersome (though possible). The 55 Mbps MP4 output of Sony XAVC S plays flawlessly, on both players, as do also the original 50p mts files from my camcorder (26 Mbps) and the MP4 deshaken stuff (33 Mbps) from Mercalli 3.0.
Before VMS 13 (64b) for a short time I have used VMS 11 (basic version, 32b), I never noticed problems with playback of AVC output files but those were MP4.
Does someone know about the problem I described?
