Cakewalk sent us Sonar Producer users a free download of their CA-2A T-Type Leveling Amplifier plug-in (VST) to use with any DAW. However, I cannot get Vegas Pro 12 or Sound Forge to recognize it for use. I've located the "CA_2ALevelingAmplifier_64.dll" directory/program and tried pointing the softwares to it to no avail. Has anyone else tried using this Cakewalk plugin with Vegas Pro? Is it compatible?
PC is running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
If it's VST 3 format then it won't be compatible as Vegas only supports up to VST 2. Also make sure it's not simply unckecked in Options>Preferences>VST and that it's in the correct folder listed there.
Some plug-ins are put in an obscure folder on installation.. search. Once found, an addtioinal "Alternate VST seach folder" can then be a assigned (Options >Prefernces> VST Effects) .. or, in many cases the plug-in's <.dll> file can be moved to your usual VST folder.
