I recently tried to open an .VEG file from a project I had since wiped off my hard disk. I expected to be able to re-capture the needed media from DV tape automatically. Unfortunately, in this case, the "recapture media" option was greyed out.

I tried this again with several other .VEG files. Some would let me recapture, some wouldn't. At first I thought it was because the .VEG file was looking for stills or generated media, rather than DV .AVI files, but I had this problem when the prompt clearly states it's looking for an .AVI. All files were originally captured in the Sonic Foundry Video Capture app.

Is there any rhyme or reason to this? When does Vegas decide that it can't re-capture DV media? Hoping for a resolution for this, for the ability to archive and re-edit projects is very important to me.
