problems rendering .avi files

Hello,

I have upgraded from vf1 to vf2. I downloaded the recommended directx8 and dv plugins. I deleted the old version of vf1 and the capture. When I render a project either to tape or to disk, the audio either dosen't get recorded or dosen't go to tape via the 1394 cable. I have had numerous crashes (unusual since I'm using windows2k sp2!) I never had problems with vf1. Any ideas would be most appreciated.

The first thing you will want to do is download the 2.0a update to VideoFactory https://www.sonicfoundry.com/download/step1.asp?CatID=2

Check out this Knowledge Base article about printing to tape http://www.sonicfoundry.com/support/SupportProduct.asp?FamilyID=52&Family=VideoFactory&TopicID=78&DetailID=879

If you have not done so already it would not hurt to email technical support as well https://www.sonicfoundry.com/support/supportmail.asp

Thanks for your prompt reply. It's nice to do business with a company that actually moderates their forums.

I have downloaded the capture update. I also emailed the tech support folks.

I'll post back if any of this helps.

Thanks again.
