Problems with 16:9 sources in DVD-A

I have created a small test anim in Cinema4D with the settings of 720x480, and a pixel ratio of 1.2121:1 for anamorphic widescreen I've even tried using the info from here: http://www.imashination.com/tv.html, however no matter what I try the video always imports as 4:3 in DVD-A and previews the same even with the "Simulate Device Aspect Ratio" checked, I am really thinking there is a bug in DVD-A in detecting anamorphic sources or there needs to be an option for it under the objects settings similar to that in the clip properties in VV.

If I take my rendered anim and load it into vegas, and select the clips properties to 1.2121 in the aspect ratio, it looks great and after I render this clip from vegas to a widescreen AVI, it then imports into DVD-A with the correct ASPECT ratio. What is it about when vegas renders the video out as 16:9 that is different? Does it add extra header info to let DVD-A know it is 16:9? As the width & height remain the same 720x480.

Running DVD-A Ver-b and VV Ver-b

When you import the source directly into DVD-A, you need to manually set the video format to "NTSC Wide" (or "PAL Wide") in the Optimize DVD dialog (File | Optimize DVD...).
