Problems with capturing-vegas 5...

I'm trying to capture video with vegas 5, and the video is going through the firewire cable, into the video camera, and out into the external monitor, but the computer is not capturing any video. I press capture on vegas and it starts playing the video but nothing is getting captured. I can't figure out whats going on...its never done this before.

When you say "into the video camera", do you mean that you are trying to capture from an analog source and you are using the video camera as an A/V->DV converter? If so, make sure you go to VidCap's Options / Preferences / General and turn off Enable DV device control.

If that's not what you are trying to do then i'm lost. You may want to explain what you are trying to accomplish, what your source is, and how you have everything connected together.
