Problems with DVD during playback

I'm using the version of Sonic that came with Screenblast MS. About a year ago I made a dvd with home movies and burned 2 copies. Earlier this week I tried to make another copy of the same dvd. It said it burned ok, but when playing it in the dvd player some of the chapters will play fine and then it will start doing a stop/start and eventually go back to the beginning of the chapter. I've tried the dvd in two different players and got the same result. Previous dvd's I've done have worked in my player, so it's not my player. I've tried burning 2 different projects recently and both dvds will stop/start during playback. I deleted all the dvd files, tried to burn again and still got the same results. When I play the video files on my computer they work fine, so I'm sure it's not the video files. I'm not sure what's wrong or how to fix it. Any ideas.

I just upgraded to the new Platinum version, hoping the DVD Architect will be better.

It could be the brand of DVD disk you're using. Some work better in DVD players than others.

It could also be a problem with the way you're duplicating your DVDs.

If you burn your DVD project to a folder on your hard drive, you can make countless "original" copies from these files.

You should also be able to duplicate a burned DVD also, which is apparently what you're doing -- but, for some reason, duping a DVD disk doesn't always produce a perfect copy. It should, but it doesn't.

Could that be what you're experiencing?

I have the video files on my hard drive. I'm trying to burn the original files from the hard drive to a disk. It's the same brand of disk I used before, from the same package even. I burned three different projects this way the other week. One turned out, the other two didn't.
