I experienced exactly the same problem, CAPTURE TAPE does not work unless it's just supposed to rewind to the beginning of tape and wait for some other user input.

Also, I may be missing it, but I didn't see a counter of the file size as I captured. I know it was in the previous version of VIDEO CAPTURE, but I can't find it in 2.5.
