I have a P4 2.6Ghz
1 Gig Ram
360 Gig video dedicated hard drive
No other apps running.
No odd processes or startup programs running.
No spy ware or viruses.
windows xp pro
Vegas 5.0
Sony TRV900 camera
Texas instruments 1394 OHCI Compliant
I have 2 problems
1) when I capture..... I drop frames and I have pops and clicks in the audio???? Basicly the same thing when I print to video.
Sony camera works fine on my other computer with premiere and Pinnacle card (By the way I like Vegas better thats why I want this to work)
2) When viewing crossfaded video clips from the time line they are jitery??? I have set my monitor from "Draft auto" to "best Full" and everything in between. yes I can render that section and it does better but I am thinking that the ability to play crossfades without rendering is a function of the processing power of my computer. Windows xp has a program called "Performance" found under Administrative tools that lets you watch anything you can immagine on your computer and graph its performance such as memory usage, CPU usage, Drive usage and the list goes on. I have used this program, and I have checked My memory, My CPU, and My Drive all at the same time while playing clips on the time line in Vegas. Nothing that I see....Memory,Disk,CPU is even comming close to being taxed or overburdened. Yet my previewed Clips are jittery. Any Ideas???
