Product won't open

I just upgraded from Movie Studio 13 to 17. When I try to open 17 and then import a video it freezes and then crashes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program. I am running windows 8 if that helps.

Your Windows version does not follow the needed specs, look also after the other specifications
