Tried the PA 2.09 with vegas pro 12.

Adding a lower third .
vegas pro 12 timeline cursor stops moving ( while playing the clip)
hereafter ( say a minute or so replaying the clip on which the lower third has been added too ) vegas pro 12 totally crashes. ( requires shut down of machine )

Can repeat this all the time ( GPU is always OFF ).

Removed the production assistant.

Lower thirds are nested projects. Some are tougher to playback than others depending on the complexity. This is why we give you the option of pre-rendering the lower thirds so that you always get smooth playback (which I highly recommend doing). This way all of the lower thirds will playback smoothly.

Thanks John but I am not at all taking preview problems ( there is 2 Xeon processors , 48 Gigs RAM and 2 x quadro 4000' s installed in the dell workstation T7500 ) but the timeline cursor line which stops moving while previewing and vegas hard crashing.
Anyway , I did remove the production assistant .

Which Lower Thirds were you having trouble with? If you email ultimatesupport at the vasst.com domain and I'll try and reproduce your issues and see if we can figure out what's going on.

BTW, the new TitleStrip FasstApps solve this problem by using PNG image sequences. If all you want are Lower Thirds you should check them out. (since you uninstalled Production Assistant just because Lower Thirds didn't work for you I assume that's all you were interested in)
