Program fails to launch

I've used Vegas Movie Studio 12.0 Platinum for years. Today it fails to launch. Error message that it "stopped working" before it opened.

I've download and latest update and installed it. Rebooted the computer. No change.

Try starting with a "Factory Reset" Instructions here https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-can-i-reset-vegas-pro-to-default-settings--104646/

Whilst written for Vegas Pro it also applies to VMS. Make sure you tick the box to clear the cache. The cache isn't cleared with a reinstall.

I have been working with Vegas Movie Studio 14 for years. It just completely stopped working a few days ago. I was editing a video and all of the images on the timeline just disappeared. I tried the "factory Reset" and I made sure I clicked on the box to clear the cache. Rebooted the program and it STILL has the same issues. So today, out of desperation, I reinstalled an older version and the same issue happens. PLEASE help I'm a YouTube Content Creator and I am at my wits end here.
