Project doesn't see video or still clips

I have just purchased Vegas Pro 14 build 211 (~10 days ago). It's been working nicely until just now when for some reason the project won't play video or still clips. The media window shows all clips, but when they're on the timeline, they won't play in the preview window. Not sure if it's related, but this started right after I had used the Vegas Stabilize plug-in to test it out on a small segment of video on the timeline. Using Windows 10.

If it still happens after you reboot the computer, restart Vegas, and start a new project, you could try resetting Vegas to default settings as described in point 9 of this post. Some other things in that post might also help you too.
