I am in the process of rendering a project to be sent out on DVD from the Gearshift proxies because I can't get the project to "shift gears" back to the original media properly. When I try, I get large sections of red on the timeline where the clips should be. The audio makes it but the video does not. Anyway, I have no idea if it is Gearshift's fault, Vegas's fault, a hardware problem or my fault somehow. What I do know is that the deadline is here for this project and another one is due a few days later and rendering from the proxies is the only way I can get it done. Fortunately I used my own Gearshift template which is the same as the default gearshift proxy template except that it has "best" enabled instead of "good". Anyway, I'm sure the customer will never notice the difference but I sure am frustrated!
