Project Folder Delete?

Hello, I set up my SONY Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 software with various storage folders on a seaprate hard drive designated for media storage (temp files, projects, etc). I do this will all my SONY Media software to keep large files from eating up my limited C Drive space and in order to aid my ability to locate and organize all my files easily. I made all the changes I could find in Vegas "Preferences" and tried to delete the default folder in "My Documents" (Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10.0 Projects) but everytime I start the program, this folder re-writes itself. Is there a way to prevent this dead folder from re-writing and appearing in my documents?

Have you only got round to installing this? It was current over a year ago....

It's confusing and I shall read the Replies with interest. I get the impression that when I click "NO" to saving a DVD burn it does anyway - as I found nearly fifty "untitled" files.

It's a shame Movie Studio doesn't have a graphical interface for loading programs as this would make it easy to see where the files are likely to end up.

MS has some excellent features once running, but I would like the "Show Me How" txt to be larger. It's difficult to "sell" the software to friends, when the Target can't read the text - and I need to put glasses on.

BTW - is your additional drive "internal" or at least a fast-connection to an external? I found that External USB2 drives make Render-times too long. I fitted 1Tb internal SATA drive and this issue disapeared. This drive is used to store "master cpies" of camcorder clips and Music + Sound FX.... but I agree you do get the impression Sony knows best and still slips some stuff onto C,, whenever you're not looking.

Have you changed the settings also in the Render to hard-drive folder?
I do this rather than go straight to DVD. It gives you a chance to see what you've done without the processor havng to work so hard.
