Project Media Thumbnail Issue When Working In Portrait Mode

HI Everyone.

Please take a look.

When we will work in portrait mode, project Media thumbnails will be resized to portrait even It's a landscape media, which give visibility problem.

this issue is in both VEGAS 22_250 & VEGAS 23 Onwards versions.

take a look at this short clip

is this bug or it is ok and we have to deal with it.???

I don't see an issue.

You want the TN to crop to the center of the wide footage? or mixed view?

** Well, Kndelive is just like VP

Magix VDLX works as you wish, each TN show the full video/image with no bars regardles project setting

Confirmed. The thumbnails in the Project Media window (but not in the Explorer window) are resized when changing the aspect ratio to 9:16 in both Vegas Pro 22 and 23. But it's not a new or changed behaviour - the same thing occurs in VP21, VP18 and even back in VP13.

I think Magix VDLX works well as I want in VEGAS.

Mixed View will be more professional.

Actually it gives you a preview in the thumbnail how landscape media will look in a portrait project. When thumbnails become to small you can resize thumbnails by pressing CTRL while turning mousewheel in project media folder. Or use explorer to import media.

... because you are in the best position to explain the problems/difficulties from your perspective and experience. Personally, it's not an issue for me because I don't do vertical projects and anyway mostly use the Project Media window in List or occasionally Details view.
