Please add more option in Render Dialog Box.

For adding render template name as suffix, take a look at the Batch render Script.

I myself created a render script sir.

Quick Render (Please Try It and Review)

but it will be better if VEGAS have its own render function well furnished with all needs full filled.

Agree & thank you.

*Render Script download link is not working here

I would like a 'Sky replacement'"option. Several other NLE have it. But maybe the team could this function give something extra.

For example a motion tracking between new sky and the (foreground) video. Many, many shots move a bit. They not completely stand still. So the new sky has to move at the same way, direction, speed and so on as the (foreground) video.

Greetings,

Wiel

Hi Theo,

I know. On YT there are examples how to replace the sky with Vegas Pro.

But maybe there is a way (script) to simplify that process of manual steps.

Wiel

@wiel-gulpen without masking, I am not aware of any "video" editing software that will automatically replace the sky. A script would have to do the masking for you, and am not sure that it can be done.

I know that Powerdirector has that option, but all the demos are of really easy, basically static video replacements with still sky images. With Mocha Vegas, you get a more professional look.

wiel-gulpen wrote on 4/12/2025, 3:49 PM

@Reyfox: I will explore the Mocha Vegas option with clips from the Alps from last summer.

I used a ND filter but it was not enough to 'save' the colours/cloud :-)

Thanks.

Wiel

@wiel-gulpen yes, it will require more work for sure. But the results will be superior. It's tough sometimes shooting where you would need a strong ND filter to get what you are looking for. I've shot mountains and sky, and having to work with trying to get the color/clouds right along with the proper f-stops and shutter speed sometimes is a juggling act. And sometimes, it will never be perfect.

Yes, I know we have the ability to lock events, but that is not quite the same thing. And I know it has been asked for before, just thought it was time to mention it again.

which can just render as per project settings e.g. Resolutions fps and other things at a standard bitrate. just like we can do it in premier pro.

It would be nice to have an extra tab on the preferences dialog where we could set all of our paths, instead of the paths being automatically set in the hidden appData on drive C: I like to keep my projects and media on a particular drive, I have a cache drive for temporary files, and for pre-rendered files. To be able to determine the hub folders and any other folders on the drives I choose would be convenient.

@Ronald-Henderson Hold down Shift and go to Option - Internal. Search for "path"/"folder", and customize your paths.

For VEGAS Hub, click here to modify the save path.

Using VEGAS Pro 22 build 248 & VEGAS Pro 21 build 208.

I often have problems with large renderings (multitracks with various fx). Leaving aside the continuous crashes (while I'm working on editing) and despite having a good processor and a great video card, it happens that the rendering aborts halfway through the process, if not even a few minutes (or seconds) from the end! The question I would like to ask the developers is: since the truncated file is still generated, as a .tmp file, why after killing the process (you can't do otherwise, see video) is it not possible to resume rendering from the same point where it stopped?

Reyfox wrote on 5/15/2025, 7:33 AM

@Tommaso-Greco said that

despite having a good processor and a great video card,

means nothing to anyone. Your User Profile is blank. I suggest you create a separate post and include the necessary information to help you troubleshoot your problem(s). Read this POST and include the information in "B" and "C". Add your computer build to your Signature in your User Profile like mine below.

With the project, include all necessary info, effects used, source footage information, how long the project is, etc.. Specifics, not generalities.

I noted your suggestion on my signature and did it, but I don't understand why I have to create another post.
I thought I understood that in this discussion requests are made to developers. My request is to be able to "recover" the partially created .temp file to restart a new rendering from the point where it was previously interrupted, that is, starting from the created but truncated .temp file.
If at the same time someone can "also" give me some suggestions to avoid crashes, obviously welcome, but the main request is the one I expressed before.
P.S.
Does it also happen to others that to close the program it is necessary to terminate the process, as happens to me in the video?

ps

This is the situation after restarting Vegas...all windows disappeared 😖

Now I will try to split the rendering into multiple parts, then I will merge them.

RogerS wrote on 5/15/2025, 12:30 PM

@Tommaso-Greco If you'd like advice on crashes please create another post. This is the right place for feature requests so no need to make another post for that.
