Project properties

In my Project Properties window in the Template field some characters are missing.
I see this
PAL DV (720x576; 0x486; 480; s) fps) fps) fps)
In the Preferences window I see Chinese or Japanese characters .
Has something to do with a font setting I think but I don't know how to solve this.
Anyone?
I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 6.0a build 85.
The program is stored on my C-drive, all documents and settings are on drive D by default.

Were some of your Windows fonts replaced by chance? Never before have I seen this one.
You might try a reinstall of VMS, but if original Windows fonts are missing or corrupted, you might need to check those, too.

is your windows regional setting in english? try a search here (right next to the forums link - not the one above it) with keyword "language"

When I uncheck the ' show at startup' checkbox in the 'show me how' screen, the problem does not occur. However, as soon as I use the helpfunction ( F1 ) it is there again, unless I start the helpfunction from the folder C:\progran files\sony\shared plug-ins\help files\vegas60.chm
