I am a VMS platinum 9 user. I work with AVCHD formate. Is there an upper limit to how long/big af project one can render before burning to a blu-ray disc? A 1 hour and 12minutes project stopped several times, and rendering was never completed.
A BluRay disc can hold about 2 hours of hi-def video.
But your process seems to be failing during transcoding. This could be caused by not having enough free space on your hard drive(s) or by having too much fragmentation on your hard drive. The presence of tmp files and spyware can also keep the program from finding enough space to work with.
You say nothing about the power of your processor, how much RAM you have or which operating system you're using -- but those too can affect the success of this process.
Thank you Steve!
I use a Sony Vaio VGN-FW21M, 4 GB RAM, Intel Core2 Duo CPU 2,4 GHz.
Besides non-completed rendering, I have experienced a very slow rendering process i.e. 1 hour rendering time for every 8-9 minutes of the videoproject. After I have devided my project into two halfs the renderin was completed succesfully. But I want to keep my project in one.
