It's all about the bitrate. To fit 80 minutes on a DVD you will need a total bitrate of around 7500Kbps. The WAV audio will use about 1500Kbps leaving 6000Kbps for the video. You would have to specify an average bitrate of 6000Kbsp or less for everything to fit, probably a good deal less if you are including menues and such. Unfortunately, Vegas Studio doesn't allow you to choose a custom bitrate. However, you could render to DV AVI from Vegas and then let DVDA render to MPEG-2 with the "fit to disc" option and it will choose the maximum bitrate possible.

I chose 80 minutes, as I thought that was the maximum time I could use and still have quality at highest levels (highest bitrate). Is this wrong?

Was under tyhe impression prpoer workflow was to go from Vegas and render out MPEG2 and WAV separately and bring into DVDA
