Proper attributes for creating PhotoShop title to be used in VV for DVproject.

When using Photoshop to create a title or to paste a frame from the VV preview window, PS initially
asks for the dimensions and PPI of the file I'm creating. Since my VV project is DV, I tell PS I want a
720x480..... but
1) how many pixels per inch (PPI) should I tell photoshop to use?
2) should the VV "preview window" be set at "display at project size" which is 720x480 or does it
matter when I'm about to "COPY" a frame off of it.

I ask because I seem to get some distortion when I copy a frame into PS and then bring it back into
VV, and also because I mess around with all this all the time and can't seem to get it pinned down
what is best.

PS. SF should triple your salary, Dave. You are so instrumental in giving ideas, instruction,
diagnostics, etc. in this great product, VV, and I tell anyone who will listen about it. I hopeSF
understands your value to the company!!!

If you are using an image editor to create titles/graphics,
it should be at least as big as the project size. For NTSC
DV that would be 720x480 (72dpi).

However, if you are going to zoom in on the graphic (a cool
option!) you want to make it bigger, so 1440x960 would
allow you to zoom in 2x with no distortion.

Copying from the Video Preview to the clipboard: For best
results, temporarily make the project "progressive" to get
rid of interlacing, set "display at project size" to true,
size the window so you see the whole image, and set preview
quality to "Best". These settings will quite prpbably slow
down playback performance, so you'll want to reset them,
but for creating a still, this is the way to go.

Wow. Thank you. Setting to progressive REALLY improved it.
Your QUICK responses allow me to keep the work flowing.
